hasti apni hubab ki si hai

ye numaish sarab ki si hai



nazuki us k lab ki kya kahiye

pankhari ik gulab ki si hai



bar bar us k dar pe jata hun

halat ab iztirab ki si hai



main jo bola kaha k ye awaz

usi khana-kharab ki si hai



'Mir' un nim-baz ankhon main

sari masti sharab ki si hai
